Its self-aligning design compensates for shaft deflection and bearing seat misalignment, making it suitable for demanding industrial machinery.

Part of FAG’s X-life range, this bearing features optimised internal geometry for high load capacity and reliable performance. It has a cylindrical bore and an open construction without seals, allowing lubrication to be supplied through the bearing arrangement.

The C3 designation identifies radial internal clearance greater than normal. This provides additional allowance for reductions in clearance caused by tight mounting fits or temperature differences between the inner and outer rings.

Technical specifications

Bore diameter (d): 240 mm
Outside diameter (D): 440 mm
Width (B): 120 mm
Basic dynamic load rating, radial (Cr): 2,230,000 N
Basic static load rating, radial (C0r): 2,900,000 N
Fatigue load limit, radial (Cur): 255,000 N
Limiting speed (nG): 1,900 rpm
Reference speed (nϑr): 1,200 rpm
Approximate weight (≈m): 78.65 kg
Bore type: Cylindrical
Internal clearance: C3, greater than normal
Sealing: Open, without seals
Brand: FAG
Product designation: 22248-BE-XL-C3

Available from Bearing King Ltd for industrial maintenance, machinery repairs and new equipment builds.
