GE series spherical plain bearings are radial spherical plain bearings designed to accommodate heavy radial loads, shock loads, and limited angular motion in oscillating or articulating applications. These bearings consist of an inner ring with a sphered (convex) outside diameter and an outer ring with a correspondingly concave spherical bore, allowing rotation and angular misalignment between the shaft and housing. Compared to the GE series, they have a wider inner ring and a larger outside diameter, which enable higher load ratings and larger tilt angles.
Type: Radial spherical plain bearing (Series GE...E or GE...ES depending on sealing and lubrication type)
Structure:
Inner Ring: Hardened steel, sphered outer surface
Outer Ring: Hardened steel or phosphated steel, sphered inner surface
Motion Accommodation: Ideal for applications with oscillating or tilting movements under heavy loads
Misalignment Capability: Can compensate for shaft misalignment or deflections
Lubrication:
GE...E type: Steel-on-steel, requires periodic lubrication
GE...ES type: Lubrication holes/grooves for grease, maintenance required
GE...C/GE...ET-2RS types: Maintenance-free, with PTFE or other low-friction liners and/or seals

GE...E – Open, steel-on-steel, lubricated
GE...ES – With lubrication grooves
GE...C / GE...ET-2RS – Maintenance-free, sealed with PTFE liner
