SNL3148 SKF Split Plummer Block Housing for 200-220mm Shaft

The SKF SNL3148 is a cast iron split plummer block housing designed to support compatible spherical roller bearings and CARB toroidal roller bearings. Part of SKF’s SNL 30, 31 and 32 series, it provides a rigid bearing support for industrial machinery, while its removable housing cap simplifies bearing installation, inspection and maintenance.

The housing accommodates bearings with a 400 mm outside diameter and features a 148 mm bearing seat width and a 240 mm centre height. Its four-bolt base provides secure mounting, with elongated attachment holes allowing adjustment during installation.

The bearing, sleeve and seal combinations below are suitable for a 200 or 220 mm shaft. Each shaft size requires its matching accessories; the housing designation alone does not determine the shaft diameter.

Designed for grease lubrication, the housing can be configured for through-shaft or shaft-end installations. Separate labyrinth and heavy-duty taconite seals allow the sealing arrangement to be selected for the operating environment.

The locating ring quantities shown are totals per housing for an axially located outer ring. Non-locating spherical roller bearing arrangements normally require axial freedom in the housing. CARB bearings, where listed, accommodate axial displacement internally and require the outer ring to be located.
